June is here which means it is time for the monthly Pick 3 Pinterest link up hosted by Lisa at Pawsitively Teaching.
Summer is right around the corner (or here for some of us), and this month's Pinterest picks are full of summer fun for you and your students (or children if you are already out of school).
My mom and I used this pin idea as an end of the year gift for our students. She found sidewalk chalk at the Dollar Store, but you can grab it in large packages just about anywhere. We divided the chalk into baggies with 3 pieces of chalk in each bag. Then we simply printed off some cute labels and stapled them to the top of the baggie. It was both easy and inexpensive. And our students LOVED their fun gift!
We all know how important it is for our students to keep reading over the summer. After all reading every day is one of the best ways for our students to retain the progress they have gained in reading throughout the school year. This free reading scavenger hunt is a great way to keep your students reading over the summer in lots of fun ways and places.
I'm so thankful that my son has finally started loving to read. (The Warriors series has him hooked!)
This article from Buzzfeed gives you so many fun ideas for summer. The best part is the fact that all the items used come from the Dollar Store! Some of these activities would also be perfect for an end of the year game day or class party.
You can find even more fun summer ideas on my Summer Pinterest Board.
I hope these ideas make your end of the year (or start of summer) a little bit easier and less hectic. Make sure you stop by some of the blogs below to find some more great pins for this month.
